Lover's Confessional

If a day comes when I can't speak,
and the fingers simply refuse to write,
there are some things I wish you to know.

I always knew you were the one,
I never gave up on you, even in
darkness of separation, you were
and always will be my true love.

I remember a dark moment
in the old Victorian on Brinkerhoff,
when I felt you, as always,
in that moment I knew, the
blood within my veins were
laced with the brown sparkles
of your eyes, and I cried,

I cried.

A lover's confessional can be a burden
to carve into historical sentiment,
but I find comfort in doing so tonight,
even in our darkness, we smile,
therefore these words come easy.

If the whirlwind in my brain
continues to sway mass destruction
from left to right, than seek comfort
in these words of finality, and know
that my heart remains
yours forever and always.

The body may rise and fall,
but the soul knows unconditional
love, and you my love-

You are the beat in my heart that will last for eternity.

    Maple~ this piece gave me goosebumps :')
    I can sense the love that exists strongly in every line and in between the letters. It truly shows how true love can stand against all problems and remain even in the darkest moments of life. What more does a person need once he has captured the essence of devine emotion?!:) awesome!!
