Shame and no pity

by Joanna Ramirez   Jan 2, 2013

You say you punish me because you love me
I guess it's true love hurts
You always said that you want to leave me
You made me feel like dirt
You said you don't know why I try to look pretty
If no guy will even lay eyes on me
Many times you sad I was pretty
Was that just pity
Your smile I always loved to see
It hurt to see you cry
But now I can pass it by
I never thought it would end like this
But I've had enough I'm pissed
And the most painful thing about this poem I wrote with bother
Is that you're not any person in the city
You're my mother
And I wrote this with shame and no pity.
