Married

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Jan 18, 2013

The snow blankets across town
An icy flake nips my nose
My feet walk slippery through the crowd
My mind set on where I need to go
I've tried my best to avoid the dreams
But now, I understand that they mean more
Everything was never as it seemed
Since the first time I walked through your door

I look back at home, I'm miles away
It feels like I've been walking forever
But I knew from I moment I woke up today
That you and I were meant to be together
What a foolish girl I was
Not realizing my love before
But I'm coming to prove how far we've come
By marching up to your front door

Stumbling across snow angels on the ground
My heart warming by the closer we get
Tiny jingle bells make a small melodious sound
I hope when you see me, you won't fret
Cause it's been a while since you've last seen me
And the tension could really get scary
It's not that it's been exactly twenty-three weeks
But it's the sad fact that you're now married

Ouch i feel for this girl!!! but overall the poem shows the way a girl with regret would see and it is beautiful the way you painted this poem it is truly an art of hope and then disappointment in the emotions! 5/5 very good my dear!
