What is it about this story?

by lillie   Jan 24, 2013

Her hair was silky smooth with curls of lavishing gold.
She came upon an abandoned house without a roof,
it seemed wrecked, but not too old.

Dressed in lilac purple and her sandals in lime green.
The house was kind of spooky, like something from a movie scene.

The shrubs started growing outside the house, upon its walls.
But In pure silence, from a far you could hear
the close water falls.

The girl entered this sad abandoned home.
She laid her head upon the green carpet, gazing at the stars, she was quite alone.

Night painted in black with diamonds of flickering light, these diamonds were small stars
The girl in the lilac dress laughed for a minute, giggling in that moment, to numb her from her scars.

She closed her eyes as she heard the owls call her name, and the waterfalls screamed, she did not feel the same.

Two summers ago, they laid there playing old records, drinking, talking about the future they both had planned.
It was in that abandoned house, that he had once asked for her hand.

Its been a few years, and each day pains her without him.
His black jet hair, blue eyes, with his body so slim.

very year she visits this one place that they both shared.
A memory in her mind, that place, giving her comfort, that in her heart she still cared.

A few years back the love of her life was right at her feet.
They were to marry, to have children, they had the whole world to meet.

Her golden locks placed upon the carpet as she looks at the diamonds in the sky.
Closing her eyes, praying, that this time she didn't have to cry.

Flash back memories, pasted to a scrap book in her mind.
He was forever gone, someone she would never again find.

Why did he leave, why did he go? Their relationship was beginning to blossom, it was beginning to grow.

It was his fate, loving her so much, his time came sooner than late.
Always picturing him, waiting for her, by heavens big gate.

She lost the one she loved quite the most,
but his presence comforted her, she knew he was there
spiritually as a ghost.

Laying there pretending, smiling, at the diamonds in the sky, hoping that one day, she doesn't have to cry.
