Always walking along
the line of shadows,
never tasting the true
flavors of life, that's
who she was.

Feeding on the darkness
because that was all they
served her with; injustice.

But that was then, and this is now..

Take a good look at her,
gracefully gliding past
every obstacle with her
head held high, just like
an Arabian horse.

Vowing to never let the
shadows hinder the free
spirit that was born in her.

Meme I just love this. So uplifting and strong minded in the attitude of the poem. It makes a statement that no matter what the past holds we can over come this and become who we are meant to be.

I do like the combination you got for the challenge because I do think there is something very graceful about horses and their movement. also in the way they trust their handlers to do what is best for them.

You created an image of freedom within this poem and I love the mention of the free spirit (very clever.) It offers hope to anyone reading and encourages them to fight for what they want in life. I think you done well to add the word injustice into the poem because sometimes life can be very cruel anf offer difficult hands when we are younger, but then just like horses, we can be tamed and turned into something very beautiful.

Just love it Meme!! Well done!
