Beautiful Angel

by Cecilia   Feb 9, 2013

The most beautiful boy took me into the swamps today.
He tied and gagged me,
Then stuck me in the murky water to drown.

He told me the world was a vile, dirty place,
And that I deserved better.

He promised to take me to a nice place,
Somewhere quiet and peaceful,
So he took me to the swamps.

We walked hand in hand through the marshes.
Inhaling the genuine sent of untouched landscape,

While the humid air made his golden hair curl,
And the sun revealed the depths of his blue eyes.

Upon our arrival to his hidden spot,
He told me to close my eyes,
So I did.

I felt the fabric coil around my hands,
And he breathed into my ear not to worry.

The fabric was then looped around my ankles,
And finally my mouth.
I screamed.

He told me that I was going about this the wrong way,
That I should feel relieved
Because he was ridding my existence

From this sordid world of human sin.
He said he loved me too much to see me
Among such impurities.

His words became noxious gas,
Slowly sending me to sleep......

He kissed me softly one last time....
And immersed me in the dark water.

I did not fight
Or scream this time.

I welcomed my fate
And thanked my beautiful angel.

From under water I could still see his godlike face,
Slowly blurring until it disappeared along with the sunlight.

I knew even in his state of insanity
He truly did love me.

He loved me enough to end my chronic misery,
Something I never got around to do.
