I Could Be The One

by The Queen   Feb 24, 2013

Crystal balls
tarot cards
bare midriff
fitted bodice,
tell me, dear,
are you out of luck
tonight?

Ebony hair
crimson lips;
an hourglass figure
hiding in multitudes of sins,

I could be the one,
and you know it.

We can turn away
from the night
like roving vagabonds;
barefoot,

or, two faced-coins,
destined to fall
onto the glassy
ocean floor.

And, even the stars
are whispering it:

I could be the one.

    "or, two faced-coins,
    destined to fall
    onto the glassy
    ocean floor."

    Can I steal your brain for just a moment so I can write beautiful pieces like this? Thats just an awesome, awesome idea.

    "And, even the stars
    are whispering it:

    I could be the one."

    I remember this from the contest and I just fell in love with it, this piece here especially. I read this part over and over (and over).. it's just.. breathy and gorgeous.

    Finally, I get to read this piece!

    The image you painted at the start and as the painting goes, it gets me overwhelmed because I don't get it at first. I've used half of my day trying to understand this, and now I did.

    It's a beautiful piece, Myryn!
