Social Insecurity

by Glenn G   Mar 4, 2013

The Republicans want to do away with social security and Medicare
After we have been taxed to fund it for seventy years
They say the money just isn't there
That's because they spent it all elsewhere
The elderly, they don't need the money they have nothing to buy
How much can it cost to grow old and die?
Some say the wealthy can pay a little more in tax
But then they might have to give up their mansions, their yachts or their Cadillac's
Some say companies could cut back on the profits they make
But the more money we pay the more money they take
It's not gonna hurt for our parents to live sick, homeless and bare
After all, the money they paid in just isn't there
