In wonderland, as Me

by lillie   Mar 6, 2013

Like alice in wonderland I fall down a deep hole through my mind.
Darkness, silence, no friends around that I can find.

There are scary creatures from the pit.
Whose eyes gleam red, they smile as they sit.

Lost in a place of confusion and doubt, lost the map, I have no real route.

Its been hours upon hours, still I cant sleep.
My heart is chained, bruised, no one's to keep.

My feet stapled to the ground.
Creatures closen up to the sound of my heart's pound

They close in ready for their kill.
I breathe heavily, dying inside I stay still.

The hole shuts off, black is all around.
My feet buried in the cold ground.
No wings, no light, the meaning to my life, I still have not found/

I love this 'Alice in wonderland' theme here in your poem. Very original Lillie! Great thought!

A nice ending line to finish on :
'No wings, no light, the meaning to my life, I still have not found'
    Simply brilliant!
