The Crossing of a Barefoot Shadow

by Maple Tree   Mar 25, 2013

She dazed the stage of life
in a whirlwind of emotional
hypocrites, loosing her soul
to the beast of flames.

Barefoot, naked thoughts
allow her to escape the
patterns within, leaving
a shadow to fend for
itself.

Lost in the distance of here;
and now, the crossing
haunted one bewitches
the mist of true believers.

They said she would rot
in the damned forever,
never knowing the strength
she had within....

until now.

This was one heck of a poem Woman! And I am going to try and comment, without going into a ramble or getting you or I confused, so bare with me :)

She dazed the stage of life
    in a whirlwind of emotional
    hypocrites, loosing her soul
    to the beast of flames.

^^I took from this that people have put her on a pedal stool and expected her to be perfect but nobody is, she was asked to be what others wanted her to be, so who she really was got lost in it all. That really stood out to me, and touched me deeply,

    Barefoot, naked thoughts
    allow her to escape the
    patterns within, leaving
    her shadow to fend for
    herself.

^^She became only a shadow of who she really was, she was laid bare for everyone to see, to abuse, to ridicule, she had no help to achieve, she was left to find herself.

    Lost in the distance of here;
    and now, the crossing
    haunted one bewitches
    the mist of true believers,

    They said she would rot
    in the damned forever,
    never knowing the strength
    she had within....

^^I really really felt myself in this write, especially at the end, the whole poem touched me beyond anything I've ever felt before,
you know what the time for me is right now and how it is for me, and I felt this piece just radiated into me

I loved the wording and the whole feel of this write, the inspiration, the imagery was awesome, and the flow smooth too.

But I think this piece touched me because I could relate, I understood, I felt it, and I lived it.

Beautiful beautiful poetry but a beautiful soul and talented hand :)
