Shadows

by Alanis   Mar 31, 2013

The pitter patter of the rain marks my escape but as the light consumes the Shadows my soul is yet to be saved. My heart dwells in the past but no longer can I bare the truth of my witnesses, as I am put to rest my eternal shadow traces the earth. What is left of my mortality? Who have I yet to face? I drink from this casket as a prisoner of my defeat, trapped in my own yellow haze.

I really love the meaning in this poem, I think you have a great talent for wording, and portraying the imagery in poetry, but again try to work on your layout and punctuation more. You will get a lot more readers and followers, when they can come and read your poem clearly without having to stumble on when to pause and stop one image, and follow on with another image.

Your work has so much potential. Your ideas are very creative and offer a lot of thought to the reader, lots of depth and emotion in which many will relate to.

    another great poem.
