One night.

by lillie   May 25, 2013

The lights sprinkled over the stage.
From afar, my eyes met yours,
Not knowing your age.

There were places i would go in my mind, your voice being my guide.
A blank canvas, painted with emotions, Nowhere to hide.

I could listen to you forever,
But to you i was just some girl
In the crowd.
Your time was up, finished,
Ended up listening to one last beautiful sound.

Another band was playing,
I saw you standing there quite alone.
Near you i walked, we spoke,
We were in a twilight zone.

Every other sound was muted as i listened to you speak.
My heart was under attack,
Those green eyes made me weak.

A few words exchanged , left
My emotions re-arranged.

Two strangers met on a random night. In your eyes, i saw the passion i saw the light.

The kind of connection which was
Rare, but quite true.
Maybe you got the same feelings
That i did too.
