That Rare Jewel

by Aish   Jun 6, 2013

Sometimes you find a rare jewel,
A person who shares your taste and really understands you.
You can watch the same loved movies and go for cream tea,
You can chat yourselves silly with stories and gossip and thoughts and ideas.
You feel yourself, and comfortable, and appreciated.
No pretence, just good company.
And then, when you're people of the world, there always comes the time for goodbye.
Sometimes only for a little while, but sometimes, it's an indefinite parting.
Not knowing where our paths will cross again,
Just the promise of letters, and always an open door, wherever in the world we are.
A new friendship which will stand the test of time, and span the distance.
