The Fishermen of Truths

by Everlasting   Dec 8, 2013

"Stop it, you are splashing it all over "

Water spits clarity
to humans fishing for truths
inside rivers of lies

"Stop it, you are stirring it away"

Riverbanks embrace with fear
Water's rapid currents of ire
as near by Oaks watch diligently
their leaves fall like hairs

"Stop it, you are making it muddier"

Fish tail-slap men's cheeks
as their scales scratch skin's confusion
into disturbed waters

"Stop it, or you won't catch it"

Men stand rock-still
against streams of disconcertions
but even in stillness,
they are not moved by the water's currents.

Hmmm this is a very interesting poem. I loved the metaphor of the current in the water. This does have a lot of imagination I agree. I think the water is life and we are all struggling against it. We all want to seek truth in our life no matter what it is. People lie and that is something we cannot change but we can be as honest with ourselves no matter what. Again this is a great poem because of the wording. Again I loved the metaphor for life. Well done
