If Only For Today

Rain, fall down on me and cleanse my heartache away. Replace the hurt and anger with a rainbow for today. Sun, shine on me and make my roots grow strong. Help the grass, the trees, birds and the seas sing their sad yet sweet songs. Clouds of purple, clouds of blue why do you hide the moon? I need your help to fill my worth, to help my dreams to bloom. Grass under my feet, you tickle me so oh how I love your touch. Please touch my heart, please touch my soul I need it now so much. Snow, fall on me freeze all my pain and take my fears away. Help me understand life on it's terms, if only for today. |

What a meaningful poem, I am moved by your words of encouragement and it is humbling. Nature can be so inspirational and just wanting to feel that burden lifted off, that feeling of release, is amazing. I love how you speak of simple things too and desiring to understand life as a whole.

I must say this is a great piece; however, there are many filler words which I believe can be eliminated to make this an even more powerful piece. Other than that, the way you express yourself is beautiful and I can relate. Good work.

Yes the imagery is very beautiful . very well said . life can seem very complicated and incomprehensible many a times . and many a times we just got to move on without really getting or having our questions answered . but then we realize that is life . life goes on and we got to move along with it too !!!!! great write !!!!! so well written !!!! it would be great to have our answers but we don't always get them . you portrayed the turmoil of it all so well here !!!! i really enjoyed my read !!!! :)

This poem really caught my eye. The imagery is so greatly detailed. The vividness is wonderful. I loved the rhymes and I can picture every single thing. I loved the story you told as well. This really did blow me away. Nominated :) <3. Well deserved too.
