Abortion

I didn't mean to confine you
to the amusement park of my heart.

But when we took this rollercoaster ride
together, I couldn't help but feel
the butterflies descending into my stomach;
catch flame on its acidic ground
and boil into masochist laughter.

Nothing felt catharctic;
I pressed my hands against my belly
as if preventing the embryo of love
from existing.

    You are an amazing writer, really. Almost everything I read by you ends up hitting me in the face and chest with a wrecking ball of bittersweet anxiety, the kind that only masterly woven nets of words can bring.
