Bloody Valentine

by Demitri Von Schnutz   Feb 14, 2014

Today has got to be the most darkest day of my life,
Tears are flowing from the eyes of me, my kids and my wife.
Memories cloud my brain,
As the rain covers my pain.

Today of all days you gave us a valentine,
From your cold hands, covered in blood,
Your last words, "never was mine"
Just before they put the shovels in the mud.

Black, the color in which you wanted your coffin,
Red, the color the inside will be stained as you lay within.
I watched as they laid you down,
Covering you with sheets hiding their frown.

A black rose to lay on your bed,
As the pictures and memories pour from our head.
I wish you could just stick around,
I'll be there when they close your casket and lay you in the ground.

Happy Valentine's day to you too little Warrior, Goodbye forever my young friend.
