Dragons of War

by Demitri Von Schnutz   Apr 21, 2014

Still I hear the ghastly tune of your fearsome battlecry,
The image of you charging to the front lines still run through my head.
Men and beast alike fear you still, like looking into an eagles eye,
Yet, the words you gave that brought strength still echo when I'm laying in bed.

So long the years of that one true time, so long the years.
Yet hear I stand as you once did with me, giving that same glorious speech.
Although the words are that of my own, the soldiers know its you that reaches their ears.
You are our lord in war and I am here to spread the words and preach.

We stand ready at a moments notice for this vicious battle.
So now Lord Crimson, cast upon us your shadow and let it stand next to mines.
Our enemy walks toward us scared like fresh cattle.
Let us relive that moment once again like the winter war lines!

I now know of your love for war and dare not to question again,
When one loves something they must protect it no matter the cost.
So let this war start and the greatest fight of our lives begin,
Let us become dragons in war before more souls are lost!
