Hate

by Blackbird   Mar 7, 2014

I have this ever growing hatred,
It lingers deep within,
It's gripping to every inch of me,
It lays with all my sins.

I want to try and fight it,
But it's strong, deep and set,
It's not budging,
It's here to stay, I bet.

Leave you dark creature!
Lift your heavy weight off my chest,
Let me live a happy life,
You dark old miserable, pest!

This is real poetry. And what I mean by that is this poem is not really riddled with metaphors. I love how you seem to let all of your feelings out. Hatred is a veryhard thing to get rid of. But here I liked how you took one moment and wrote about it. Though I bbelieve hatred builds with time but here it's built to it's peak and you had to write it out. I loved the simplicity of the wording you used here. :) great write! !
