The gospel of God comes to us
as God's truth is revealed
to show by the law our sin
so our depravity can be healed
The glory of the gospel truly is
that God gifts us His righteousness
pure undefiled imputed unto sinners
this righteousness is given so to bless
This blessing needs to be desired
so again God grants a living faith
one which grabs hold of the promise
the just shall live by faith as scripture saith
God's righteousness comes to us
to justify us before God the holy one
so we can be reconciled to God
thus the Lord indeed has graciously done
The just will indeed live by faith
having been justified by God's grace
now covered over by divine righteousness
the most blessed of the human race
