Thanks

Dearest Brain,
Thank you for enduring the surgery and its pain,
For the knowledge and wisdom of the years you provided,
And unwavering though and memories undivided.

Dearest Heart,
Thank you for giving me a pulse at the start,
For being able to love even when broken,
Still there are words that have been left unspoken.

Dearest Body,
Thank you for standing strong for me,
For constantly fighting even when things got rough,
Allowing to stand tall through pain and becoming tough.

Dearest Eyes,
Thank you for being open to reality and compromise,
For allowing me to see my wrongs and my rights,
Always watching were I could avoid fights.

Dearest Hands,
Thank you for keeping my enemies off the lands,
For punching through the barriers that blocked my path,
Fending off all threats and making them feel my wrath.

Dearest Feet,
Thank you for moving forward and crossing the street,
For being quick when I needed to run,
Allowing me to dodge every bullet from any gun.

Dearest Wings,
You are the most important of all things,
Though your feathers are torn and I may never again fly,
Still I thank you for allowing me freedom of the sky.
