It's a beautiful day, to be alive
When you awake to a cloudy sky
It's a beautiful day, to strive
To love and let sleeping dogs lie
It's a beautiful time to dance
When the wind breaks your strong stance
It's a beautiful time to sing
No matter what life may bring
It's a beautiful world we live in
When everyday the birds sing
It's a wonderful time to praise
When you awake to a brand new day
It's a beautiful night to dream
When nothing is as it seems
It's a wonderful time to succeed
When nobody meets your needs
It's a beautiful time to be alive
when fate stands against your side
What a lovely time to breathe
When death is all that you see
It's a beautiful time to be alive...
Isn't it..?
When the petals of a flower wilt and die
When a bird sings it's last song, lost beneath the sky
When an ant builds a fortress
And humanity destroys it
What a beautiful time to be alive...

      Thank you so much :-) although I must say, that's the funny thing with poetry, people often have many different interpretations, when I wrote this I was actually very depressed and was being sarcastic about life, it was more a cynical poem than a poem about life's beauty :-)
