Life is Like a Poker Hand:

by Scott Cole   Feb 8, 2015

You're dealt a hand and that"s the hand you play for awhile cause things are great so you hold onto your cards no discards no worries. Then the game changes life seems dull tired of the same old hand so we take a chance and we throw two or three cards away. Life deals us a new hand sometimes it's better sometimes it's worse never the less it's our new life our new hand so we're stuck with it cause the game goes on. So we move forward keep living keep playing the new hand we now hold sometimes we wish we had held onto those discards what life originally dealt us. Other times we're happy with the change in life our new hand either way we press on playing the cards in life we are still holding onto. If we made a mistake received a worse hand you can see it in our eyes in our life we're sad down and upset and it shows. It works that way too when you hit your hand improve your life you can see it on our face in our life we're excited anxious and happy. So whatever hand life deals you study it hard and think twice before you change it up before you discard any cards before you change your life cause your discards could always be better than the new cards in life you are dealt. Learn to appreciate your hand your life cause what you end up with could be far worse than what you already held onto in the game of life. So play your cards right live your life wisely and you'll win the game holding the best poker hand .

Waw, have I mentioned in any of my comments before that your poems could be successful songs ? Some with a fast rap pace!

I really love the morals in these poems, it's very easy to relate to such poem and to take morals from them, to your own personal life.

I found this poem just another powerful piece that hits reality! I really love it all, each part of it, with the ripples of inner rhyme. I was a bit off with little repetitions but they were not very serious.

In all I find your work very praise worthy.
    well done!
