Weeping

by Karla   Feb 13, 2015

Listen
the words don't need my perplexity anymore
and it is hard for me to admit my incredulity.

yesterday i said i couldn't
and you replied "ok"
as if you could see beyond
my dead inspirational grammar and hopeless muse:
she - the one who aborted me
after a couple of unformed poems
and silent plosives.
yes, she wants images, not words.

i am covered with distrust and sorrow
but look at me,
i can only ask for a handkerchief.

This week Karla blows her audience away with a complex honesty that almost any artist can relate to. The word choice is phenomenal, the style is beautiful and karla's voice stands out wonderfully on its own. I couldn't find anything off or in any sort of need for improvement anywhere in this piece. Absolutely wonderful read, heartrending.

Karla, you have no idea how I loved this poem, this is one of the most touching poems Ive read by you. Knowing you as KArla the mother and the human, I know how genuine and sensitive you are, and to read this by you I was simply touched by heart and soul.

This is a very well deserved win tag, it seemed like a cry out song for me, one that you sang from deep within your heart.

I am happier than you are, for seeing it on the front page.

I appreciate your pen very very much and it pleased me to come across this piece.
I think using the verb "listen" as an introduction was real attractive opening to those mesmerizing metaphors.
The closure was elegant and much related to the title.

Forgive me for mentioning this, but capitalizing the "i" letters would leave a real serious impression on the mind of the reader :)

    Thank you for sharing, awesome.
