Decaf.

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 19, 2015

I drink and drink
and drink
from you
so that Memory
will continue to
warm
the coldest
ravines of
my soul.

Your eyes are
violets to this
stone lodged
in my heart; I
can barely
swallow
without reminding
myself you are
not a dream

(but our love is).

I have to leave
or you will become
the poison I

depend on.

I like this style of writing, vague, intense and beautifully melancholic.
    It suits you perfectly, Marry.

Added to favorites and nominated (: I just love this .. I don't know how to get over this piece .. I just live this so much .. The way you present the intensity of your need for that certain somehow is beautifully presented here. I know the feeling of not having beside you the only person that you depend on, that is really hard and sad. The sadness in this write is addicting. Hmm .. I just love the title .. You know that if you continue on depending on that person, it will poison you, certainly, it will not be good, you will lose the ability to stand on your own. People prefer decaffeinated drinks for health reasons, but it also has other affects that may harm you. But it can also be beneficial (: I love the structure and the flow in this write. Great job (:
