Remember

by Dancing Rivers   Apr 27, 2015

Remember how I spent nights,
weaving intricate rhymes on this site.
Creating music with every syllable,
dreaming life was magical.

Remember when I was innocent,
my words juvenile and quaint.
I never thought I'd get this far,
that id look back at all these scars.

Remember the truth,
these words were living proof,
of my misery.
Blatant lies draped in chivalry.

Rember my youth,
when death was a word uncouth.
Life was a whimsical dance,
now it's a game of chance.

Remember to forget,
the things you regret.
Remember to live,
remember you die.

I agree with Ben, those 2 lines stood out for me also. But 2 more stood out for me also:

    "Life was a whimsical dance,
now it's a game of chance."

Very nice write. Thanks for sharing it with the world :)

"Creating music with every syllable" and "Remember to live, remember you die".
Stand out lines for me in this. Another really well written, thoughtful poem.
