Mad for Love

by WritingtheStars   Jul 25, 2015

Mad.

We're mad for each other.
Mad at each other.
Mad with each other.

We fall apart
and fall together
with sparks always flying.

Mad we are for staying together,
but mad we become when we're apart.
Can't live with each other,
but we can't live without.

The cycle goes 'round,
kissing then arguing,
but love never became hate.

A mad love,
a mad story,
but I'm mad for you.

    This is fun.
Love can send us mad but when we're crazy in love we couldn't want for anything else.

What a lovely poem and so true of what love so often is - difficult!
    All the very best,

It sounds like you've found someone who makes you happy and also makes you feel alive. I love that you took me back to when I was young and felt that way (shush it was only 2 or 3 years ago :P ) within this piece. Great style choice and how it feels both very open and very structured in a wierdly cool balance. Nicely written Stringbean.

    Hi,

I like this. Love is mad, it makes us feel crazy and out of our minds. Love has highs and lows and is, when at is height, turbulent with passions of anger and then lust. This is like a drug and its powerful qualities addictive and difficult to quantify. Mad indeed!

As I have mentioned, this is a poem that I like and makes one question the madness.

    Well done.

    Michael
