The sweetest creature
has fallen gracefully upon my heart,
I have never known a tainted feather
only a bird who echos to me in a dream.

A spirited wing can shelter a wounded soul
mending a broken ballad of yesterday.

She composed a cloudy sonnet
murmuring lyrics of a melody
played when sorrow came to call.

I have never known a tainted feather
only a bird who echos to me in a dream.

^absolutely gorgeous, I'm wondering if this line "only played when sorrow came to call" could somehow be reconstructed, it seemed to throw off the flow a tad.....much enjoyed

That line is bugging me a bit as well, thank you for the heads up. I tweaked it some.

What a beautiful piece. Hauntingly sad. You have painted a wonderful picture for the minds eye.
