Embrace the heartache and pain

by Dusty   Dec 1, 2015

Living year after year in never ending fear
The hurt, the pain, forever in shame that your heart will never be the same.
Once a delicate rose,
Your petals have been wilted, beat and worn, all that is left is a sharp withered thorn.

You can't hide behind the fear my dear because no one can hear
Neither your mother or father
because they call you queer
Wipe away each tear,
Embrace the heartache and pain
you hold so near.

You're no longer a lonesome dove
incapable of being loved.
Your wings fly higher than the sky
No one shall ever make you cry

Taking in account the title of this poem and reading the poem itself, I guess this message is about learning to handle the facts of life. If you are ready to handle the good and bad, then you have to learn to how to deal with the good and bad of love. Instead of been crushed by a love that has gone spread your wings and learn to move forward. Its the lesson of life. Nicely penned and welcome to P&Q :)

Well done, this poem sounds smoothly....

As for the content, I can't truly comment. I probably didn't truly understand it.

However, the rhymes are unforced. Well done for that.
