Hope

by Shruti   Dec 10, 2015

Fading light
darkness prevails
something hidden,
something none can see,
something unrevealed,
yet it belongs to me;
shinning in the moonlight,
with a thin ray of hope,
looking up to the stars
learning to cope;
climbing higher and higher,
trying to reach the top.
Pushing through the darkness,
floating away...
running after that thin light
fading away;
Oh, come back to me,
don't leave me-
My hope...

    Ohh, I really liked this - I thought the symbolism was a clever idea. Hope is such an important part of life and survival in general but, though sometimes dwindling and fading in and out (like you described nicely above) it's a hard thing to kill. I liked this and I do hope that you always retain that bit of light inside of you. (;

    Hope is something that not everyone can see but if they are determined and willing it is within reach. You have done well in penning this; just the first few opening lines I felt the commas were placed at the wrong sentence and so made the flow stop. Other then that I liked the images you have left in this write...good job.
