Short Story - Painting Circus - Joan Miro.

Once upon a time, at the museum, every painting her eyes were greeted with amazed a woman that came to see the art expositions. By watching the paintings, she metaphorically felt as if she was in Heaven. However, after walking through every room and after seeing the different paintings, one painting in particular, caught her eyes as if suddenly the author's intention for painting that canvas was so that if the painting greeted her eyes, the painting would become a police officer, and her eyes, the prisoners that the painting arrested. She felt as if by the sole act of seeing this painting, the painting imprisoned her in one of the most terrifying jails, where she could never see the light of a new day. And as she stood there, in front of the canvas, staring deeply into the painting, her trembling legs retreated backwards as if wanting her eyes to escape from that prison. But the artist, like a great-skilled police officer, had secured the painting's parameters, by painting every possible spot in the canvas, so that if her eyes, would wander around in search of an opportunity to escape from that prison, her eyes would not find any. The artist did a great job at keeping her eyes fixed firmly into the painted canvas by not allowing her eyes to escape into the walls of the room. However, the woman, as she stared into the painting, wondered, why her eyes were arrested? Why she felt guilty? Why the painting made her feel as if her eyes were prisoners? She did not like that feeling. She found the painting to be ordinary. She thought that painting was something she could paint. She did not like it. Then, after some time past, and after her eyes served their sentenced in that prison, her eyes were free to wander anywhere else. However, her eyes continued visiting that prison, but this time, her eyes were not arrested. They were not force to stay firmly fixed on the canvas; instead, her eyes were free to explore the prison. Its colors: the depressive blue, and the few objects that the prison had: the shoe, the red ball. And as her eyes continued visiting, every time, they saw something different. This painting as ordinary as she thought it was, could let her imagination run wild. And she liked it. She like that feeling. Soon, the painting became for her as the title suggest like a circus where she found her thoughts about the painting to be amusing, very amusing.

I wasn't able to see which painting you were actually referring to (link doesn't work for me), but did google some of the work by Joan Miro and they certainly are intriguing. I did notice a typo " Then, after some time past", 'past' should be 'passed'. That said, really enjoyed this piece, the 'personification' of the painting was executed extremely well, and it was compelling.r

The reading of this very story itself has a lot for the reader to wonder about. There is a mystery to it, like a secret of an ethereal beauty and within that beauty a captured sadness. I like this better then the pic itself!
