A Crossword:

by Scott Cole   Feb 12, 2016

My life is valued
I can be a draw,
Especially to a conscience
Or set of eyeballs.

I live in the area
My address a key,
For all of my neighbors
Are connected to me.

You may live across
Or straight up and down,
Just down the line
Or in the same town.

So wonder and scratch
Your shotty little mind,
You have the directions
Where i reside.

Word after word
I'm speaking to you,
Like a GPS
I'm giving you clues.

Find the correct street
On the right block,
Nevermind the time
You don't have a clock.

When all of my relatives
All fit into place,
No empty houses
Or extra space.

Just like a puzzle
With a missing square,
All out of order
Cause no one lives there.

That's the beauty of it all
All stand for a purpose,
To solve the problem
And answer their burdens.

When all of my neighbors
Are all safe and sound,
The whole neighborhood
Is all settled down.

Then and only then
Can you turn me away,
Stop all that scratching
And racking your brain.

For I'm just one member
I'm not all that you got,
We all work together
A neighborhood watch.

    Excellent!

You are getting really good at metaphors and rhyme...

this is truly a fun and powerful message, filled with an excellent flow... I do like the modern flare of wording.. very creative with the crossword...

Scott your poetry is becoming very strong, I do like that you are expanding within your writing and exploring more genres, life pieces are defiantly becoming a strong genre for you... as is nature and love poetry!
