Hear their story

by Michael   Feb 16, 2016

We each have a story to tell,
whether mighty or somewhat frail.

Giving time, be still and hear
the wonders, delight, tragedies and fear.

When a friend tells their tale
allow the time to inhale.

Listen to what is said and how they feel,
who knows what they may reveal.

A helping hand. A warm embrace,
allow them to set the pace.

Hearing someone in their thought
can maybe help what was once fraught.

Giving time is all they may need
without a weakness to concede.

So when we listen, make sure we hear
what maybe said by a friend so dear.
