Road of hope

by Michael   Mar 10, 2016

On a corner of a quiet street
a boy was lying with blood on his feet.
I asked the boy 'are you alright'?
he was shivering
his body tense and tight.
He looked at me and said
'I really thought I was dead!'
I offered my hand
and helped this boy to stand.
'No one has helped me before!'
and he gently rose from the cold dark floor.
I gave him my shoes to heed his pain
and he with me walked again.
We walked together
to the path of hope.
I hope he has the strength to cope.

Michael, I really liked this, it's nice to know someone will bother to stop and help. So many lost children out there silently crying out for help.

Thank you Brenda, my attitude is if you can pay something forward in life, then maybe we would all live a better world
