No..you are correct, of course soiled has only one syllable...with my accent I say soy-eld and..knowing your somewhat rebellious nature towards syllable count you just threw me slightly :)

you are quite right, I do like to push boundaries from time to time. But, in this case I checked on the sites 'Rhymes' tab and it counted 1 x syllable. I agree though that it is debatable. And we know where I stand on that subject:

I know you're a bit of a rebel with syllable count so I'm not sure if I should mention that I think you have 6 syllables in line one?

is it an accent thing..not sure but I count two in the word soiled...so-iled.

If you want a perfect count just drop the "A" it's really not necessary anyway.

Apart from that the topic is very very current and...I enjoyed it without a doubt!

Ok onto the Senryu- It's a wonderful piece and you do have a gift to tell it all in 3 syllabic lines, love this!
