Is writing enough?

by Saerelune   Apr 5, 2016

Sometimes I think I've had enough
of polluting the ocean with my poetry.

My chest is as hollow as a pirated treasure,
I could write you the steps towards my heart
but you would return empty-handed.

All ink has dried deep inside of my paper cuts;
this lack of emotion is not the eye of a storm,
and I feel like a squid for blinding you.

How I wish to wear my skeleton outside,
like an armour of warning signs
to keep your efforts at bay.

Instead, my spine is easily bent
and writing wasn't ever enough.

Lovely peace, liked the flow and metaphors used.

I really liked the line, 'how i wish to wear my skeleton outside, like an amour of warning signs,' Wow!! beautiful.

As much as i like writing i really enjoy how people decipher their thoughts and feelings and put them into beautiful words like these.

You write like a goddess! You always have and each time I read one of your new poems, I melt!

"I feel like a squid for blinding you."

Very detailed with a wonderful metaphor and just oooo wonderful in my eyes!!
