A lamp on a room,
with a switch, turns the lights on,
now on the kitchen

I am new to poetry so haven't quite got my head around the Senryu / Haiku type of poetry but what I would say is yours is full of wisdom.

A lamp with a switch exists in a room
yet when you turn on the switch to the lamp it turns the main kitchen lights on.

So taking that literally you have an electrical malfunction

    but

    from a metaphoric perspective.

Turning on a switch might guarantee the result that you want but not in the way that you imagine.

I like the way you interpreted this piece.
      Yes, that is true.

    Hi lucero

I like the randomness and originality of this piece, howevet, i believe haiku deal with nature. I might be mistaken.
    Either way, great write.
    All the best

      Hi Ben,

Actually, to be more precise, this is a senryu. However, all senryu are Haiku but not all haiku are senryu. So calling this a haiku is safe.

Lol, you were actually right on getting on the deep. haha
I mean, I think I want to learn more about electricity and how that works.

I know I'd be going so deep with this interpretation but this would be a very clever metaphor for not being able to focus on matters at hand.

Probably, or it could be that if one plug in from the wall does not work, then switching to other plug in, might do the trick. The plug in on one room did not work, so switching to the one on the Kitchen, did the trick." With the switch," the lights turned on.

I mean, definitely, I cannot fix the plug in. T_T
So I can't focus on matters at hand. The easier solution was to move to other room. Ah, I took the easiest solution. This just shows that there's so much to learn.
