If I Get Rid Of My Demons

by Jason   Apr 19, 2016

They're the reason that
My life is in shambles.
And yet, I can't seem
To make myself kill
The darkness inside.
Because in reality,
What is light without darkness?
What is Hope without despair?
Yang will always have Yin
To keep it in balance,
And yet I find myself
Falling farther into despair
The more I am left
To wander my own thoughts.
I find myself wanting
More darkness and destruction.
I want to be rid of my demons
Once and for all,
But there is one reason
I still hold onto them.
Her words still echo
Inside of my head and help
Keep order to the disorderly.
"If you get rid of your demons,
You'll lose what is most
Important to you.
You can't lose what made
You who you are.
The ones who care
Have seen your demons.
Me, your love, your other half,
The order to your chaos
Have seen your demons
And I'm still here."
Those words constantly
Play in my mind and
Bring the end of that battle
At least for a while,
For I know the war
Shall never truly end.
It's because of her words
That I know for sure
If I get rid of my demons
I'll lose all my angels.

Jason, this is truly sad and dull of emotion.
Depression is a horrible feeling and no 2 depressions are ever the same i feel because we all have our different, personal triggers that spark our dark thoughtS. Yes, some stuff may be the same as others but will not feel the same.

    Take care, Em
