DON'T FORGET

by Wayne Gates   Aug 1, 2016

DON'T FORGET
The past can be painful with no desire to remember
But never forget that moment of surrender
That overwhelming bottom that drained your soul
When you had to decide what was your goal
To continue without change was a ticket to death
That moment of strength when you took a deep breath
You admitted defeat and sought a higher power
That transforming moment when you began to flower
That's your foundation which you have built upon
If you forget your past it will soon be gone
As you look forward with a sense of hope
Never forget how you learned to cope

Nice vintage rhymes and powerful message! Thanks for the reminder not to forget so soon where we have been and how we got to our current place!
