On the fringes of awareness is where greatness lies. I must immediately turn and face it when I see or feel it.
Many great moments of inspiration are quickly lost because they flicker on the edges of reality and are ignored. Being all too consumed with the mundane, the brief moments of brilliance are lost when finally I attempt to recover them.
My best thoughts are gone before being written. Gifts briefly given that are ignored can not be recreated, pearls of wisdom beyond my power to reason; gone because I did not pounce.
Inspiration is a gift that I must be aware of to receive.
