A Waxing Moon, A Waning Love

The Sun has fallen away
I begged for you to stay
But you packed your bags anyway.

The moon is waxing
Our love is lacking
And you are far away.

The Sun has risen once more
My knees, they hit the floor
As I watched you walk out the door.

Once more the stars light the sky
I just want to know why
You left and let our love die.
