Difference

by Jack Nightengale   Dec 1, 2016

There's a lot that could be said,
the mind works in different ways,
You might like ducks but, I like penguins instead,
but, who's to say that I won't change my mind in a few days?

What you see one way, I see different,
it's not necessary for us to think the same way, is it?
You might read to be informed, while I read for the entertainment,
you like a story for the plot, I might like to laugh a bit.

Sure we can all agree on many a things,
but let's be honest, the debate is fun because it's like a trampoline.
We all interpret things differently,
can you assume to know what another is thinking instinctively?

There's a flaw in our system that we have yet to understand,
the complexity of the problem is far more than what we can comprehend.
We could all be a genius and still have different opinions,
just like the flavor of the layers on two different onions.

Keep your mind open to someone else's thought,
your words are like knives, who knows how much pain you could've brought.
I'm drained, I'm sleepy, or maybe I'm just spent,
We weren't created to be the same but,... just different

Jackson, I really liked this a lot. It's true, we are different and we should celebrate that instead of tearing it down. Well done-

    Jack,

I love this and all I can really say about it is that I agree entirely! As they say, how very boring the world would be if we were all the same and liked/thought the same way.
We have to open ourselves to as many different experiences and opinions as we can and then all our lives will be that much richer.

    Take care,

    Ben
