The Weight of Nothing

by Wayne Gates   Dec 14, 2016

The Weight of Nothing
An empty feeling inside can be hard to bear.
Feeling all alone when people are near.
I have a companion and I still isolate.
When we are together It's hard to relate.
I have become lazy and no longer care.
I count my days by the length of my hair.
Depression can be heavy and rot your soul.
Getting out of the house can be a lofty goal.
At least it causes me to actually get dressed.
Finding meaning in life is the ultimate test.

Depression is bad...very bad, but you got to hold on for one more day always. Nothing last forever, and same goes for our problems and sufferings.
    I love the title.
And yeah, you got to work hard to pass the test. To find the meaning in life.
    Though sad, it's wonderfully written.
    Keep writing!
