--this is a poetic retelling of a debate I had with a believer. This is largely inspired from Matt Dillahunty and his show The Atheist Experience--
"You must believe
In the glory of God,
Lest you be punished in
Eternal hellfire with the
Devil."
Ok, but I must ask,
Is your creator the
Creator of all things?
"Why yes sir,
He most definitely is
The creator of all things?"
Right. So now I must ask,
Does that inevitably
Include the creation of
the hell fire?
"Yes sir,
It most certainly does"
Cool. Now I must also ask,
Does that also include
The devil?
"Yes sir,
God created the devil
And the devil was
God's favorite servant".
Alright. Now,
Does God create all the
Rules in the universe,
Including the methods
By which souls are judged?
"As god is creator
Of all things,
Then by definition,
He also created
Such criteria."
Most excellent. Now,
Does any thing occur anywhere
Without god knowing that
It is occurring?
"No sir.
As god is everywhere,
Then there cannot be a place
Which he cannot observe."
Perfect. I do have a
Couple of more questions
For you.
"Yes sir, but I don't
See where you're going
With this."
You will soon enough.
So, your God created everything,
Does that include me?
"Of course it does sir.
You are but one of
God's creations".
Ok. Is your God
Also omniscient?
Meaning that he knows everything
That we will ever do?
"Yes sir.
God had a plan
Since the beginning"
So in conclusion,
Your God is omniscient, omnipotent,
and omnipresent,
and he is the creator of all realms,
As well as the rules of the universe,
Including the methods
By which souls are judged.
"That is correct sir.
Now what are you
Getting at?"
Oh nothing,
It's just that your God
Is ultimately responsible
for everything,
Including letting me be born,
and knowing that I'm a nonbeliever,
But he'll still send me to the
Hell fire, because I didn't
Believe in him, even though
He knew in advance
That i wouldn't.
"... so what you're
Saying is.."
Yes. God made me
An atheist, and
Who are you to
Question his wisdom?

Now I know that there are many more debate topics that can be discussed in whether or not God exists; however, with this particular person I had to go about debating him in such a way, because the entire time he was so condescending and "holier-than-thou".
