Moving Forward

Sometimes I feel like my heart is about to explode with all of the emotions that have been trapped for so long;
All in fear of being hurt, taken for granted, ignored, and unprotected by the same old dance and song.
I long for the type of love that makes you feel needed, wanted, and open, the kind of love that makes you blind to negativity;
To wake up day after day with a bigger smile and a positive outlook on the world and the need to express your love with much creativity.
The thought of one day to be at a place in your life where a broken hearts no longer exist;
Your once broken and shattered heart of repetitive nature is finally mended and made whole for the last and final time, all by that long stare, the lingering smile, and followed by a deep meaningful kiss.
All of your mistakes and misfortunes become a distant and forgotten memory of your past in which you never dwell, but only appreciate what life has allowed you to learn in order to provide a better future;
Your only regret is not opening your heart and taking the risk of true lover sooner.
Until that day arrives, and even when it does, ill never allow my heart to close off completely;
Because it almost killed me, literally....
