Something with meaning

by Alex Penuelas   Aug 25, 2017

Stop being so hard on yourself.

Come on man. Breathe.

Focus on inhaling and exhaling.

Close your eyes.

Take a moment
to sit back and
reflect on your life.

Look at all of the stuff
you have put up with thus far.

All of the grief that strengthened you.
The challenges you faced that made you more experienced.

All of the heartache
you went through
that wisened you up on
who to allow
play with your heartstrings.

All of the back stabbings
that occurred that made you
refocus on how much trust you give,
and who you give it to.

All of those
painful lessons you learned
that got you to
where you are today.

And hey,
don't forget to also look at
all of the good things you have done.

All of the friends you made,
all of the flaming passions
you've had through the years,
the unforgettable moments
you've shared with those
who mean everything to you.

Think about
all of the people
you have helped
overcome their own struggles,
and remember all of the
lives you have impacted by
existing in the chapters of
other people's lives.

And despite
all the stuff
you're going through right now,
remember that you have
come this far through your own efforts.

You haven't given up yet.

No matter what
life is throwing at you,
grow with it.

Plant your roots
firmly into the ground,
and remember that
it's not about the pain,
as pain is an
Inevitable aspect of life.

But rather, how you work through it.

Be proud of yourself,
for your accomplishments,
For the things you will accomplish,
and please don't ever give up.

Remember,
even though the universe itself
continues onward with
no intended purpose or meaning,
that you mean something to others,
even those that you
haven't met yet but
see your works from afar.

Make this
short chance you have
on this cosmic arena
meaningful.

Keep going.
