Shadow Adventures

You told me of fairy tales
They expanded my mind
You told me of mysteries
Oh what shall I find?

You told me of landscapes
As I lay in my bed
Of snow covered mountains
That I explored in my head

You told me of caverns
Deep under the ground
Of treasures & places
You explored & found

A big gap remains
Where you once sat by my side
But I remember those adventures
And feel warm inside

    I'm gutted as I'd written some huge comment on this then it disappeared. I've read this many times now and each time the rawness, the longing and the memories whether sad or happy shine through and it shows this person meant alot to you and no doubt still does which makes me wonder if it is an old flame or a family member that's passed. Fantastic rhyming as ever.
