Depressed

Just because you don't feel what I feel doesn't make it any less real.

Just because you don't understand what it's like in my head doesn't mean I should just "stop".

Outside I look normal. Inside I'm breaking in to a thousand pieces.

Fits of rage and sadness is just the tip of it.

You think you're confused because you can't figure me out.. try being me for a day.

Try living with my thoughts and feelings.

Try waking up in the middle of the night because you can't breathe.

Try being happy and laugh even though it's killing you.

I want you to try.. because that's what I do everyday.

Just because you can't understand, doesn't make me any less of a human being.

    I only just read this and you summarize this state so well. I feel this is something a lot of people can relate to but when it's happening to you, it just feels like you are the only one. Well done!

    I added this to my favorites because this explains it very well. Something I also struggle with daily. Reading it from another perspective interests me. As soon as I figure out how to nominate poems , I will be revisiting. Until then, don't stop writing. (:
