I'm learning to love the holidays

I'm learning to love the holidays.

As much as I think that they suck,
I have to remember that
There's a million and one reasons
To be happy this time of year.

For one,
My favorite type of weather
Has returned, allowing me
To flaunt my denim jackets
And my flannel shirts.

Another thing is that
My favorite caffeinated beverages
Are back at coffee shops,
And I can finally take a nice sip
Out of a winter dream tea latte.

I now have a niece and a nephew
That i can get lots of presents for,
And i can wrestle with my little dude
As we play with his wrestling toys,
While my niece can play around
With her Maui toy.

I have also made a lot more friends at work,
And i got them all lots of goodies
For our secret Santa celebration.

This also marks the second Christmas
That i celebrate in my family's new home,
Where lots of family and friends
Are scheduled to come over
And indulge in some delicious ham and steak.

And I'm always a sucker for presents,
Especially those from
The people i love.

And I am able to spend more time
With those that I truly care for.

And hey,
I'm finally better at playing my guitar,
So I'll be surprising my relative
By playing the birthday song
For her.

Yeah,
There's many things that make
The holiday season suck, but
There's also many things that
Make this the most wonderful time of the year.

So yeah, I'm learning to love the holidays again.
