Hello Roxas!

by Eminent Bard   Jun 8, 2018

##This is actually inspired from an unforgettable experience I had. Most of the lines are maybe things I can only relate to but I just want to post this :D

It's the same old story
Where girl meets boy
In a world of fantasy
Exists everlasting joy

It was a fine day for me
When it's exactly 8-8-8
Now begins the story
In that awesome rare date

Girls were very busy
Combing their damp smooth hair
We were having an activity
That so called "Hair Dare"

Then came our break time
That's what I've been waiting for
I was meant to witness the sign
To yearn for him more

I was in the school canteen
Glaring for some aliment
The little boy soon came in
To where I was he went

In a moment he began to chat
Asked if Emaelyn is my name
I was merely confounded with that
As I'm not into fame!

But I still replied, "Yes."
Said it loud and clear
What he really thinks I can't guess
His true intent I want to hear

"Were you the one", he began
"Who drew the paopu fruit?
I actually found that one."
His words were like tickling my foot

Bewildered, yes, that's what I felt
Then my brain began to reminisce
Even my heart began to melt
When I finally thought, "Ah yes!"

Now I remember that was yesterday
When it was Filipino time
It was tedious, the natural way
So I drew some things for me to feel fine

"Oh yes. I am totally guilty!"
I gave him a slight grin
"But I do wonder actually
How did you know what the drawing means?"

"Well of course I sure do
For I am just a junkie
In that certain game you know"
He expressed those words directly

I had this unexplainable sensation
When that remark was heard
Felt like there's a need for a celebration
Just like the coming back of the bird*

"Oh really? Well me too!"
I put a big smile on my face
"I never thought you also do
Haven't realized I left a trace"

"Say, have you finished the game
Both the games one and two?"
"Yeah I had them both when they just came
And was able to finish them, how about you?"

"That's so cool of you!
I haven't got the second one
But I'm going to buy it too
As soon as other payments are done."

"Okay I'll go ahead now
See you again next time."
He left without telling me how
He got that mystic drawing of mine

And so I walked, amazed
Couldn't still believe in that circumstance
Felt like I was in daze
What I actually felt I couldn't instantiate

How, where, and why
Were the questions I had inside
I forced my mind to try
To find answers to be my guide

Is this what they call 'destined'?
An enchanting fairy tale?
Hope this case would be determined
As my prospects don't want to fail

Up to now I'm still wondering
At times I would ponder
"How did it happen again?"
And would carry on to wonder

It's like the same old story
Where I met this lad
The story of Roxas and Namine
Was the fairy tale I had
